Cyclone Separators

A cyclonic dust separator is an extremely useful tool to separate product from air in a pneumatic conveying system. These devices can be implemented as a cost-effective, and efficient first stage in removing particulates in a dust collection system.

As the stream of air mixed with dust or particulates enters the cylindrical chamber at high velocity, it is subjected to rapid cyclonic forces that create a vortex within the chamber. The larger, coarse particles push against the walls of the chamber and are pulled downward by centrifugal force, while the cleaned air is lifted up and out.
